This serie of documentaries offers an insight to the life of five cheese makers, which share an emblematic know-how. In their processes, they insist on maintaining an idea of quality now lost to most cheese makers. Despite the difficulties, these committed activists made a life choice:

Miren, a young mother of two produces ewe cheese in the Basque Country,
Aimée and Henri-Daniel, produce Etivaz (cow cheese) in the Swiss Alps,
Two Sisters of the Anawim community, raise goats and produce cheese in the Aveyron region,
Fred and Emilie both left their steady job to raise goats, sheeps and cows, at the foot of the Pyrenees.

By sharing the lives and professions of these five artisans, the director aims at showing the diversity and fragility of this old art.
