Exercise in Democracy

They are trade unionists, teachers, farmers, and business leaders. Despite their sometimes conflicting interests, they work together to formulate opinions intended to advise the government. We are at the Economic, Social, and Environmental Council (CESE), the third chamber of the French Republic. While our political system demonstrates its inability to produce consensus, here, differences are listened to and work is done to make collective expression possible.
