Something in My Eye (De la poussière dans les yeux)

When her sister Gaëlle learns that she has multiple sclerosis, filmmaker Anne Lorrière picks up her camera in the hope that a film might heal, might break the course of fate. As the illness has already affected their mother Nicole and their younger sister Claire, the filming becomes a refuge at the heart of the turmoil — a space of love where each woman must learn to accept the path of the other.

There is this dust that clings to their eyes,
yet I cannot see it.

This pain that eats away at them,
but I do not feel it.

There is Claire, fighting, Gaëlle, faltering,
and Nicole, slipping away.

Somewhere, with the camera, there is me.
And between us, this love that never fades.
