Alice Fargier

Alice Fargier is French-Swiss. After a hypokhâgne and a khâgne, she enrolled in film studies at Paris 8 and obtained a master’s degree in film directing. She first became a radio journalist for France Culture and a critic for the film press. In 2014, Le Mur et l’Eau, her first short documentary, was selected for a number of international festivals (Visions du réel, Karlovy Vary, MIFF, IDFA, etc.), won several awards and was nominated for Best Short Film at the 2016 Swiss Film Prize. In 2017, Kâbus, shot in Istanbul, was presented at the FID Marseille. Retour au pays des merveilles (Return to Wonderland) received a special mention from the jury at the VIS Vienna short film festival in 2019. Le Temps d’une nuit premiered at the Clermont Ferrand short film festival in 2021 and won 2 international jury awards. She is currently developing her first feature film.
