Antoine Laguerre studied philosophy and cinema at la Sorbonne (Paris IV). He studied at the practical school of high studies (EPHE), Vth section in 1983, under the direction of Jean Rouch, in the broadcasting laboratory of anthropology.

After an experience in the cinema in team with Claude Chabrol, he turned to the documentary.

In the same time he took part as journalist and photographer to the magazine Jazz-Hot, Le Monde de la Musique and Libération.

During the last 24 years, he directed more than twenty documentaries for TF1, France 3, France 5, ARTE, Canal+, DISCOVERY Channel, TV GLOBO, France Ô, Paris Première, Equidia, Escales, Ushuaia TV, Trek, Voyage, Nouvo and Spicee for the web.

He took part to many TV magazines as Thalassa, l’Effet Papillon, Dimanche+, Le grand Mag, Recto-Verso, Mégamix, Tracks, Avis de tempête, 66’…
