Synopsis

Taboo sludge is a regional documentary on the controversial use of Parisian sludge on the agricultural lands of Ile de France and of the nearby regions.

The treatment plants produce tens of thousands of tons of sludge every year.  Those sludges are considered by the law as wastes. Because they are filled with the harmful compounds from the treatment of used waters and become a fertilizer.  The big conurbations dont have enough lands to recycle the sludges. They must ask for the help of regions next to them.

In the concerned rural areal , we wonder. Why the countryside should digest the sludges of the towns ?
